The mall invites you to live the colourful Japanese culture at The Japanese Cultural Week starting May 23, 2007  

Dubai , May 23, 2007: A host of Japanese traditions and customs can be experienced at the Lamcy Plaza, the country’s popular family shopping destination, during the four-day Japanese Cultural Week. The annual cultural event, being held from May 23 to May 26, 2007, will focus on the culture of Japan and showcase the country’s uniqueness and ethnicity.

Various activities will be organized during the four-day festival - One can relish Japanese food, taste the unique blend of the Japanese tea, witness the fashions the women observe and also view the beautiful dance forms and art culture of Japan. Women could also learn the distinctive style of wearing Japanese make-up during the festival.

Commenting on the event, Mr. Tim Jones, Chief Operating Officer, Lamcy Plaza said, “Every year we try to bring in the diverse cultures of the world to Dubai, so our customers can have the opportunity to live another culture right here. Our aim is to enrich our customers with the various ethnicities of the world and give them the delight of experiencing a different way of life.”

The previous years have witnessed the cultures of the French and the Italians at the mall. This year, with the spotlight on Japan one can experience the beauty and customs of this wonderful land within the mall. From the delicious culinary culture to the Japanese art and craft, the mall will host a series of events through the day focusing entirely on Japan.
